Every year we celebrate fibre crafts by stitching in public during the Stampede in Calgary. Join us at the BMO centre on Monday and view all the great work submitted to the Western Showcase Art Show. On the last weekend of Stampede we have volunteers at the Heritage Cabin stitching on the porch and inside. Learn more about the Summer Kitchen from Stampede Volunteers and see what we are all working on.
How to Join our Group
Feel Free to join us at one of our Public Events to ask questions in person. There is no obligation to join our group if you just want to meet new people and hang out occasionally
This year (2023/24) we will be holding our monthly meetings on zoom for members who are unable to attend in person.

This will be the business meeting part of the evening, starting from 7pm
In-Person Monthly Meetings
Held 2nd Wednesday evening each month from September to June
Scandinavian Centre - Viking Room (enter in the front, park in the back)

Our Space is open at 6pm for visiting, browsing our library or stitching

Business Meeting starts at 7pm and each executive member will update the group on things they are organizing or give feedback on previous events.

Monthly Show & Tell of finished work will also been shown on zoom this year. Each member comes up and talks about their work, if you are not comfortable we can just admire it!

Programs start after a short break around 8pm

Programs are small activities. In the past, we have hosted speakers, small craft projects, group mystery projects among other things.

Membership Fees
As a Chapter of the Embroidery Association of Canada (www.eac-acb.ca) there are two parts to your membership fees:

Chapter Fees - $50.00/yearly (renewal in July)
This supports the rental of our meeting space and our Library storage space. We also provide members with free registration for some classes, workshops and events.

National Fees - $50.00/yearly (renewal with Chapter Fees)
This supports the national organization to provide our virtual newsletter, printed magazine, national website and access to online classes.

* If you are a member of another EAC-ACB.ca chapter you can join us as well by paying the Chapter portion of the fees.

We will keep a FOIP form on file for all members as we do like to share photos of our events on our Facebook and website. Some members let us see some of their art in progress and we will respect the request not to share until they are ready. You are also welcome to share your art and not your personal image.

Please use the form below to start the process for joining or to ask any questions!
